Two posts in one day, I'm really getting crazy with myself. I was just thinking about all the weird nicknames that people have in Brooklyn (and in many other areas of the world for all I know). I've made a list of some of the wacky ones of people that I have known over the years.

I went on another field trip with my class today. We went to go and see Polar Express. It was 3D and in the IMAX theater. My students are so cute and I really get to enjoy them a lot more when I get them out of the classroom. We had a lot of fun today.

I've been smoking a lot more lately and I'm pretty mad at myself. "A" has no idea, he'd be so pissed. I used to smoke a lot, but then I went on the patch 3 years ago and quit. But when I get bored or stressed it's like an old friend to fall back on. I've just been driving myself crazy with Christmas, work, A, planning the wedding, and the whole LG thing (which I still don't want to talk about). Sometimes I'm so happy and alive and other times I feel so low and bored. I really do want to start cutting down on the cigarrettes, my car is starting to smell and it's still fairly new.

Last night "A" and I had a good time. We went to go see Sweet Charity on Broadway. It was so funny!!! Christina Applegate has a really good voice. Who knew?! Then we went to Emmits for a few drinks. I'm a real light weight; two cosmo's and I was tanked. He was being really sweet and we had a lot of laughs, but I'm still having second thoughts about the wedding. I don't know if I could hurt him that badly, but I'm not 100% sure that this is what I want. I'm sure I'll have to deal with this eventually, but not today.

I went to go visit Christine today. We had breakfast and drove by her ex boyfriends house and LG's house (yes I've been to his place, I'm just not ready to talk about it yet). Christine is such a blessing in my life. She really "gets" me and never passes any judgment on me. It's such a comfort to me knowing that I have someone who loves me and tries to understand me. We can take the most fucked up situation and find a way to laugh about it. We intuitively know what the other needs, whether it be a laugh, a shoulder to cry on, a drink, or just the presence of the others company. I'm going to work to make the time for this friendship. I don't know that I could get through some of the things in my life without her support.

Today I had my second formal observation by the Assistant Principal, a real hard ass. So I'm doing the lesson with my group on the reading carpet and it's going good, my nerves are starting to subside, when what should happen??? A little girl in the back of the room throws up!!!

Yep right in the middle of my lesson. We had to stop for like 5 minutes to get the custodian in to clean up and get the girl to the bathroom and the nurse. The AP laughed about it, but I was mortified! I swear that things like this only happen to me.
